Community Health Nurse – Medical Camp Coordination

About the role

The Community Health Nurse will lead and support daily medical camps and health awareness initiatives within assigned communities. Working closely with doctors, teachers, volunteers and local leaders, the nurse ensures effective delivery of preventive and curative services.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and coordinate medical camps, including logistics, medicine kits, equipment and patient registration.
• Support doctors during camps, assist with outreach activities and ensure accurate documentation of services.
• Conduct regular community visits to deliver health education, run Special Health Day programs and seasonal disease‑prevention campaigns.
• Monitor field staff, collaborate with teachers and community health assistants, and ensure quality of health activities.
• Manage medicine inventory: track stock, monitor expiry dates, prepare kits and dispense medicines according to prescriptions.
• Update health data systems with camp details, medicine distribution, patient records, follow‑ups and referrals.
• Identify and report communicable disease cases, follow up patients after visits, and monitor treatment adherence.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the medical team to align camp schedules, stock levels and patient referrals.

Required profile

• Qualified nursing background with experience in community health or outreach programs.
• Ability to coordinate with teachers, volunteers, local leaders and medical staff.
• Strong organizational skills for logistics, inventory management and data reporting.
• Good communication skills for health education and patient follow‑up.
