Commis III – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Commis III to join the kitchen team at a luxury resort in Bengaluru. The role involves preparing ingredients, cooking and assembling dishes, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Portion, chop, wash, peel and store fresh fruits, vegetables and other ingredients.
• Weigh, measure, mix and prepare ingredients according to recipes and quality standards.
• Cook hot and cold dishes, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test foods for proper doneness.
• Set‑up and break‑down work stations, serve food in correct portions and maintain proper food temperature.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment after each shift.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies and report any incidents.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals and ensure quality expectations are met.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a food‑and‑beverage or culinary environment.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry objects up to 25 lb throughout the shift.
