About the role
We are looking for a motivated Commis III to join the kitchen team at JW Marriott Goa. The role involves supporting the culinary team by preparing ingredients, cooking under supervision, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients, wash, peel, chop and store fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
- Cook and assemble dishes, ensuring quality, presentation and temperature standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Test foods for doneness and monitor food quality throughout preparation.
- Set‑up and break‑down work stations, serve food in proper portions and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, tools and equipment.
- Check appliance and food temperatures and follow all safety, security and hygiene policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in food preparation or a similar kitchen role.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
