Collections Manager – Team Lead – Lending Collections

About the role

Paytm is seeking a Collections Manager – Team Lead for its lending collections function. The role involves leading a team that bridges creditors and consumers, overseeing overdue accounts, and driving repayment plans to meet collection targets. The team acts as a liaison between creditors and consumers, monitoring accounts, reporting collection activity, handling client queries, and designing repayment strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned area collection targets and manage collection flow.
• Monitor accounts, identify overdue payments and develop repayment strategies.
• Control case flow, focus on non‑starter accounts and ensure timely documentation of feedback.
• Maintain adequate “feet on street” coverage across buckets and segments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve collection processes and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in collections or related financial recovery roles.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Demonstrated success orientation and ability to thrive in a high‑performance environment.
• Graduation or post‑graduation preferred.
