City Lead – Surveillance (Nagpur)

About the role

PATH, a global nonprofit focused on health equity, is seeking a City Lead – Surveillance for Nagpur. The role will drive the planning, implementation, and monitoring of urban disease surveillance strengthening activities, ensuring integration with national priorities and Smart City platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of surveillance strengthening initiatives across Nagpur.
• Coordinate daily with Municipal Surveillance Unit, District Surveillance Unit, City Programme Management Unit, Urban Local Bodies and other stakeholders.
• Conduct situational analysis of existing surveillance systems, identifying gaps in coverage, timeliness and data quality.
• Develop city‑specific surveillance strategies aligned with the national roadmap.
• Facilitate multisectoral coordination across human, animal and environmental health domains.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in public health surveillance operations.
• Proven ability to engage and align multiple government and sectoral partners.
• Strong analytical skills to assess system performance and recommend improvements.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
