About the role
We are seeking a proactive Buyer to manage technical procurement for a manufacturing environment. The role involves verifying vendor specifications, conducting initial negotiations, and ensuring seamless ordering through SAP.
Key responsibilities
- Validate technical requirements against vendor specifications and flag any discrepancies.
- Conduct first‑round negotiations for assigned categories and relay outcomes to the Buying Manager.
- Create purchase orders for approved items and record transactions in the SAP system.
- Respond promptly to internal and external audit queries related to procurement, escalating when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of enquiries, negotiations, and order confirmations.
Required profile
- B.Tech or B.E. degree.
- 2–6 years of experience in category‑based sourcing and manufacturing procurement.
- Exposure to supply management within plant operations.
Required skills
- Proficiency in SAP for purchase order processing.
