Business Development Executive

About the role

Biz Trade Mart, a fast‑growing B2B marketplace startup, is seeking a motivated Business Development Executive to join its Pune office. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, onboarding clients, and driving revenue growth for the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals and field visits.
• Generate and qualify leads to build a strong sales pipeline.
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain the benefits of the Biz Trade Mart platform.
• Onboard buyers, suppliers, manufacturers, exporters, importers and service providers onto the platform.
• Follow up with prospects and convert leads into active customers.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients and manage key accounts.
• Negotiate commercial terms and close sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and support.
• Track sales performance, prepare periodic reports and provide market feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Management or a related field.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and eager to learn.
• Ability to generate leads and close business opportunities.
• Basic understanding of B2B sales and relationship management.
• Must be based in Pune or willing to relocate; local travel for client meetings may be required.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of CRM software.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace.
