Business Development Executive – International Projects & Trade Sales

About the role

Rugs Design, a luxury handmade rug and carpet brand, is looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to drive lead generation and sales opportunities across India and international markets. You will target architects, interior designers, hospitality groups, procurement teams, and real‑estate developers to expand our client base.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research architects, interior designers, developers, hotels, resorts, and procurement firms.
• Build and maintain prospect databases and track project opportunities.
• Generate qualified leads via LinkedIn, cold email campaigns, industry directories and referrals.
• Send personalized LinkedIn connection requests, conduct outreach, and schedule meetings for senior management.
• Maintain CRM records, update pipeline status, and track communication history.
• Prepare company profiles, presentations, proposals, quotations and coordinate sample shipments.
• Assist vendors with registration processes and support sales documentation.
• Monitor luxury interior‑design, hospitality and real‑estate trends to uncover new market opportunities.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in interior design, luxury products, hospitality or real‑estate sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proven ability to generate and qualify leads, schedule meetings and support senior sales teams.
