BSW Developer (Automotive Embedded)

About the role

Join ZF's R&D team as a BSW Developer, working on Basic Software modules for automotive applications. You will contribute to the design, development, and validation of embedded software that follows AUTOSAR standards and supports future mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug Basic Software (BSW) modules according to project requirements and AUTOSAR architecture.
• Perform unit and functional testing to ensure reliability and correct functionality.
• Analyze and resolve software defects, integration issues, and performance problems.
• Maintain compliance with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) processes, coding standards, and development guidelines.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in the automotive domain.
• Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++.
• Hands‑on experience with 16‑bit and 32‑bit microcontrollers, ideally Infineon AURIX TC2xx/TC3xx.
• Good understanding of microcontroller peripherals, low‑level driver development, and basic safety mechanisms.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR concepts such as Startup and Shutdown.
