Block Coordinator – ASPIRE Youth Mental Health Project

About the role

The Block Coordinator will lead the implementation of PATH's ASPIRE youth mental health initiative in a designated taluk of Chikkaballapura district, Karnataka. This field‑based position works closely with primary health centres, schools and community platforms to improve mental health outcomes for adolescents and young adults.

Key responsibilities

• Implement ASPIRE activities across health facilities, schools and community platforms within the assigned taluk.
• Coordinate outreach sessions, screening, counselling and follow‑up with Medical Officers, CHOs, PHCOs and ASHAs.
• Maintain accurate records of all young people reached using Excel.
• Ensure quality and protocol compliance of mental‑health awareness, screening and referral sessions.
• Provide on‑site supervision and support to primary health‑care providers and peer educators.
• Collaborate regularly with Block Health Officers and District Project Manager for planning, review and reporting.
• Work with RBSK teams and conduct training for peer educators and frontline staff.

Required profile

• Fluent in Kannada with a background in public health.
• Experience in youth‑focused programs and familiarity with Karnataka government health systems.
• Strong interpersonal and liaison skills for effective coordination with block and district health authorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting.
