Associate Securities Lawyer

About the role

The Law Point is seeking a full‑time Associate Securities Lawyer to work on‑site in Mumbai. You will handle matters before the SAT, NCLT and High Court and provide regulatory compliance advice to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Represent clients before SAT, NCLT and High Court in securities and corporate matters.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, conduct compliance assessments and liaise with regulators.
• Assist in enforcement or investigative proceedings and prepare related documentation.
• Draft pleadings, legal opinions, transaction documents and internal notes with precision.
• Support litigation and arbitration related to securities and commercial disputes under senior guidance.
• Manage multiple matters simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.

Required profile

• LL.B. degree from a recognized institution with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong foundation in securities law, corporate law and financial markets regulation.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in regulatory advisory work.
• Ability to appear before forums under the supervision of senior lawyers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client‑handling skills.
• Capacity to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, on‑site law firm environment.

Required skills

• Legal research and analytical abilities.
• Drafting of pleadings, opinions, transaction documents and internal notes.
• Knowledge of statutes, rules and circulars governing securities and corporate matters.
• Familiarity with dispute resolution processes, including litigation and arbitration.
