Associate Director – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead complex civil‑engineering projects across sectors such as data‑centres, commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, industrial and aviation. The role involves delivering site grading, storm‑water, sewer and road designs while coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review site grading layouts, storm‑water drainage, sanitary and chemical sewer systems, underground gravity drains and tankage area plans.
• Design asphalt and concrete road & RC pavement layouts and prepare detailed road plans.
• Coordinate underground services, BIM models and multidisciplinary reviews.
• Maintain client communication, manage project timelines and lead people‑management activities.
• Utilise programming, macros and Excel design sheets where required.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of experience on projects of similar size and scope.
• Project exposure to data‑centre, commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, industrial or aviation sectors.
• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering/Hydraulics (master’s preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Indian codes; familiarity with US, BS and Eurocodes is a plus.
• Experience with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model reviews.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, client interaction and time‑management skills.
