Head – Cost Management

About the role

Lead AECOM’s cost consultancy and commercial management services across multiple concurrent projects, driving cost planning, risk management and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Build, lead and scale a high‑performing Cost Management team delivering projects across sectors.
• Own resource planning, capability development, succession planning and performance management.
• Provide executive reporting, risk briefings and act as senior client interface.
• Oversee end‑to‑end cost management including cost planning, estimates, BOQs, value engineering and whole‑life costing.
• Define procurement strategies, lead tendering, contract administration and change control.
• Lead bid strategy, develop fee models and produce technical write‑ups for C‑suite stakeholders.

Required profile

• 20+ years progressive experience in Cost Management, Contract Administration and Procurement on large, complex programs.
• Proven leadership of multi‑project teams and strong client management with executive presence.
• Experience in Real Estate, Hospitals, Industrial, Airports, Urban Development; semiconductor or data‑center experience is a plus.
• Professional credentials such as MRICS/FRICS, AACE CCP, PMP or equivalent.

Required skills

• CostX (or equivalent) cost modelling.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI for dashboards.
• Primavera P6 and MS Project for schedule‑cost integration.
• 5D BIM workflows.
• Knowledge of FIDIC (or equivalent) contract forms.
