Assistant Steward – Italian Cuisine Focus

About the role

Join Autogrill’s vibrant food‑service team in Bengaluru as an Assistant Steward dedicated to Italian cuisine. You will support kitchen and service operations, ensuring a clean and organized environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all utensils, equipment, and workstations, especially those used for Italian dishes.
• Assist with basic food preparation and stock rotation.
• Operate dishwashing stations, manage waste disposal, and uphold hygiene standards.
• Coordinate with servers and chefs to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
• Follow safety and sanitation protocols and provide courteous assistance to internal and external guests.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Experience or training in food & beverage operations, preferably with exposure to Italian cuisine.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification is a plus.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical capability to lift, stand for long periods, and move equipment safely.

Required skills

• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety regulations.
• Proficiency in operating commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Basic inventory and stock‑rotation handling.
