About the role

We are looking for a dynamic, results‑driven Cargo Assistant Sales Manager to lead our commercial efforts in Mumbai. The role focuses on driving cargo revenue growth, managing key forwarder relationships and positioning partner airlines as top‑tier choices in the market.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed cargo revenue targets for partner airlines.
  • Build, maintain and expand relationships with top‑tier freight forwarders, key accounts and direct shippers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing and capacity fluctuations to identify new business opportunities and adjust commercial strategies.
  • Structure and negotiate spot rates, long‑term contracts and block space agreements to maximize yield and flight load factors.
  • Collaborate with the Cargo Customer Service & Reservations team and operational stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of booked shipments.
  • Analyse sales data, prepare revenue forecasts and present performance reports to senior management and airline principals.

Required profile

  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in air cargo sales, freight forwarding commercial roles or GSSA operations.
  • Established network of freight forwarders and logistics players in North/West India.
  • Deep understanding of air freight pricing, market dynamics, IATA regulations and trade lane economics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools and cargo reservation systems.
  • Strong business acumen, entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently in a high‑pressure, target‑driven environment.
