Assistant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a team in Thane, overseeing day‑to‑day operations and ensuring key performance indicators are met. The role involves night‑shift work and requires strong knowledge of the import‑export lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure key deliverables are met in terms of agreed KPIs.
• Plan allocation of work to the team and monitor progress.
• Assist the team in follow‑up and respond to escalations.
• Keep management informed of service failure issues.
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Process urgent work cases to support the team.
• Implement SOP changes with manager and functional head approval.
• Communicate new work procedure guidelines to the team.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly KPI reports.
• Prepare requirement documents for reporting tools such as CIRA.
• Train and guide new team members.
• Suggest process improvements.
• Conduct regular review meetings, provide feedback and conduct appraisals per company policy.
• Participate in review calls with agencies.

Required profile

• Total experience of 7‑9 years, with at least 2 years in team handling.
• Comfortable working night shifts in Thane.
• Good knowledge of the import/export lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Excel.
