Logistics Manager – International Freight & Amazon FBA Inbound

About the role

California Design Den is seeking a senior Logistics Manager to own end‑to‑end inbound logistics for its international supply chain. You will coordinate shipments from factories in India and China through freight forwarding, customs, and third‑party warehouses to US fulfillment centers, ensuring cost efficiency and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute ocean and air freight, manage forwarders, and optimise container and vessel schedules to avoid demurrage and detention.
• Book freight capacity ahead of peak periods to align inbound stock with demand.
• Oversee third‑party warehouses and Amazon’s warehousing network, handling split shipments, placement, receiving accuracy, and storage/aged‑inventory fees.
• Own customs classification, import compliance, and relationships with customs brokers.
• Model tariff exposure and landed cost, including cost impacts of sourcing shifts between India and China.
• Produce freight and landed‑cost reports and build logistics dashboards in collaboration with the data team.
• Lead and develop a small logistics team.

Required profile

• 6+ years leading logistics or supply‑chain operations in cross‑border e‑commerce with China‑origin supply and US‑bound shipments.
• Hands‑on experience with ocean freight (FCL and LCL), US customs clearance, and import compliance.
• Proven track record managing Amazon inbound logistics (FBA, preferably AWD).
• Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with data and handling shipment disruptions.
