Assistant Manager - Guest Service

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Guest Service will support the General Manager and Head Chef in delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences across the restaurant, in‑room dining, and banquet areas. The role focuses on guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability while ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise restaurant, in‑room dining, and banquet operations to meet guest satisfaction and profitability targets.
• Assist the Head Chef in menu development, pricing, and forecasting revenue and costs.
• Maintain statutory hygiene and safety standards across all food‑and‑beverage outlets.
• Motivate, train, and develop staff to provide courteous, professional service.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
• Monitor food, beverage, and labour costs, ensuring they stay within budgetary limits.
• Prepare budgeting information and financial reports in a timely manner.
• Oversee selection of condiments, linens, and décor, and enforce quality‑control procedures.
• Ensure prompt execution of room‑service orders and adherence to service standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising restaurant, in‑room dining, or banquet operations.
• Strong knowledge of food‑and‑beverage hygiene regulations and statutory requirements.
• Leadership qualities such as persuasion, motivation, honesty, and integrity.
• Ability to develop staff, promote teamwork, and maintain high service standards.
• Excellent coordination skills with other hotel departments.
