Assistant Chef

About the role

The Assistant Chef will support the kitchen team in preparing and cooking a diverse range of Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes across our Goa and Maharashtra locations. The role demands a passion for culinary arts, strict adherence to standard operating procedures, and a focus on delivering high‑quality guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping and storing food according to recipe specifications.
• Cook menu items following established recipes, quality standards and presentation guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as braising pans, baking ovens, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Set up and maintain work stations with appropriate stock levels.
• Assist with inventory management, timely replenishment and proper storage of supplies.
• Implement waste‑reduction practices and ensure compliance with food safety regulations (FSSAI, Excise).
• Prepare alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant service.
• Interact with guests, take orders and gather feedback to enhance service quality.

Required profile

• Hospitality graduate or diploma in hospitality.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a hotel, club, cruise ship, restaurant or similar F&B environment.
• Strong knowledge of Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time‑management abilities.
• Willingness to relocate anywhere in southern India.
