Area Sales Manager - Automotive Aftermarket

About the role

3M is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead market development and customer engagement for its ProCare and Collision Repair segments in the Dehradun territory. You will be responsible for expanding business opportunities, strengthening relationships with key channel partners, and delivering sales growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory plans to maximise market coverage and customer reach.
• Identify, acquire and manage new business opportunities within ProCare and Collision Repair.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with body shops, workshops, dealers, fleet operators and other channel partners.
• Conduct regular market visits to ensure customer engagement and business development.
• Promote 3M products, solutions and value‑added services to customers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements to spot growth opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams for product availability, customer support and issue resolution.
• Drive customer satisfaction through proactive account management and service excellence.
• Organise product demonstrations, technical awareness programs and customer meetings.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, opportunities and market intelligence.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of sales, business development or territory management experience.
• Experience in automotive aftermarket, coatings, paint, collision repair or related industries is a plus.
• Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage extensive travel requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Automotive Technology or related field; MBA/PGDM preferred.
