Architect – Design

About the role

As part of WSP India’s GCC Middle East business, the Architect – Design will work alongside colleagues in Noida, Bangalore and Mumbai, collaborating closely with the Landscape team based in the Middle East to deliver infrastructure and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage small projects, teams or tasks within larger architectural programmes.
• Prepare technical information for infrastructure and development projects, including strategic and feasibility studies.
• Produce preliminary and detailed designs, general arrangement drawings, hard‑ and soft‑scape construction detailing, schedules and specifications to support planning applications, tenders and construction packages.
• Participate in regular meetings, providing accurate progress updates.
• Apply business standards and quality techniques consistently.
• Identify and communicate risks or impediments to delivery in a timely manner.
• Line‑manage and mentor junior team members.
• Support business development and bidding activities as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture or recognized equivalent; postgraduate diploma or Master’s in Architecture preferred.
• Fluent spoken English with strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
• Proven experience in project management and project delivery.
• Experience working collaboratively in a remote or distributed environment.
• Commercial awareness, excellent time‑management and ability to work within professional consultancy or local government contexts.
• Capability to support construction administration, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings and site conditions.
• Solid knowledge of planting design, hard‑scape materials and construction detailing.
