AFIH Certified Factory Medical Officer (FMO)

About the role

The company is seeking an AFIH‑certified Factory Medical Officer to lead the Occupational Health Centre at its Tata Electronics project in Jagiroad, Assam. The role combines primary clinical care, emergency response, and occupational health management for a large industrial workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the on‑site Occupational Health Centre and ensure its smooth operation.
• Provide primary and emergency medical care to employees.
• Conduct pre‑employment, periodic, and statutory medical examinations.
• Handle occupational injuries, workplace health emergencies, and coordinate with nearby hospitals.
• Maintain accurate employee medical records and health surveillance reports.
• Ensure compliance with the Factories Act and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• Deliver health awareness programs, wellness initiatives, and safety training.
• Collaborate with EHS, HR, and project management teams.

Required profile

• MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with NMC or State Medical Council.
• AFIH (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health) certification – mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Factory Medical Officer, Occupational Health Physician, or Industrial Medical Officer.
