Accountant – Financial Reporting & Compliance

About the role

RocketPay is building the infrastructure that sits between payment initiation and credit defaults, helping lenders and businesses manage collections more effectively. We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to ensure accurate financial records, support audits, and help prepare budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledgers.
• Reconcile bank statements and verify the accuracy of financial data.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Process tax payments and returns while maintaining confidentiality of financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2‑3+ years of experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and audit practices.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
