Accountant – Day-to-Day Accounting & PF Compliance

About the role

Collegesathi, a fast‑growing higher‑education platform, is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to handle daily accounting and financial operations. The role involves managing bookkeeping, payroll‑related accounting, and basic PF compliance for a dynamic team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and update financial statements and accounting reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper documentation.
• Track employee‑related financial records and support payroll accounting.
• Apply basic PF calculations, deductions, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with PF documentation, records, and coordination when needed.
• Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports.
• Coordinate with management, employees, vendors, and external parties on accounting matters.
• Support audits by providing necessary financial documents.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field (preferred).
• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and statutory deductions, including PF.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
