VMC CNC Machine Operator

About the role

Sumoplast is seeking a dedicated VMC CNC Machine Operator to join its manufacturing team in Mumbai. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on setting up, operating and monitoring CNC equipment to meet production targets while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and adjust VMC CNC machines according to job orders and technical specifications.
• Load raw materials, monitor the machining process and ensure continuous operation.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality using visual checks and basic measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance, minor adjustments and cleaning of equipment.
• Record production data, report any mechanical issues and collaborate with supervisors to resolve problems.
• Follow all safety, housekeeping and continuous‑improvement procedures.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle manual tasks safely.
• Basic technical or vocational training in mechanical, manufacturing or related fields is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills for clear reporting and teamwork.
• Willingness to work shifts and maintain punctual attendance.
