Process Design Engineer

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Process Design Engineer to lead the design of industrial water‑treatment and desalination projects. The role involves preparing detailed process concepts, performing calculations, and coordinating with vendors and client teams to ensure successful project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop preliminary and detailed process designs for oil removal, biological treatment, pretreatment, reverse osmosis, chemical dosing, sludge treatment, and related systems.
• Perform hydraulic, pressure‑drop, and line‑sizing calculations; select membranes, filters, and equipment based on feed‑water characteristics.
• Prepare layout drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, HFDs, electrical load lists, and power‑consumption analyses in line with tender specifications.
• Draft enquiry documents (RFQs), scopes of work, and datasheets for valves, pumps, and other engineering items.
• Develop control philosophy, O&M manuals, and collaborate with PLC engineers for FAT and SAT logic development.
• Participate in technical meetings, produce minutes of meetings, and evaluate vendor documentation for technical clarity.
• Travel to project sites and client/consultant offices for document approval and on‑site issue resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in process design and engineering for RO and desalination water systems.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple technical documents, and interact with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel long‑term or short‑term to various project locations.

• Collaboration with PLC engineers for FAT/SAT logic.
