Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

About the role

The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will join the central FP&A team of State Street Investment Management (SSIM). Reporting to the Managing Director and Head of India Finance, the role supports the Chief Business Office with strategic financial leadership, executive decision support and finance transformation across a $6 trillion asset‑management business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reviews for senior leadership and the Board.
• Produce and maintain management reporting, KPI dashboards, variance analyses and executive presentations.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses of business trends, productivity metrics and cost‑optimization opportunities, providing actionable recommendations.
• Serve as the primary FP&A partner to the Chief Business Office, evaluating investments, operating models and organizational effectiveness.
• Drive enterprise‑wide prioritisation and capital‑allocation decisions through rigorous financial modelling and business‑case development.
• Provide governance, advisory support and best‑practice guidance to FP&A teams across all business verticals, ensuring consistency of planning assumptions and forecasting methodologies.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with VP‑level experience in FP&A, strategic financial reporting and budgeting.
• Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders, finance, accounting, HR and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong track record of delivering executive‑level insights, influencing decision‑making and leading finance transformation initiatives.
• Experience in asset‑management or large‑scale investment‑management environments is preferred.
