US Taxation Analyst

About the role

As a Senior Analyst at Searce, you will act as a trusted partner to leadership, overseeing end‑to‑end US and Canadian tax processes and internal controls. The role blends compliance, strategic planning, and audit support to deliver clear financial insight for a fast‑moving tech consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file US and Canadian federal, state, and provincial tax returns, including extensions and amendments.
• Calculate and analyze US and Canadian income tax provisions, supporting quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Identify and implement tax‑efficient strategies for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other business transactions.
• Respond to tax authority audits, provide documentation, and represent the organization in audit proceedings.
• Perform accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting related to tax matters.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant degree.
• 2‑5 years of proven experience in US and Canadian tax compliance, provision, planning, or audit.
• Strong ability to research, interpret, and apply complex tax regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with US tax forms such as 1120, 1065, 1040 and GILTI.
• Experience handling Canadian tax filings and Sales & Use tax returns.
• Use of tax automation tools for compliance and provision calculations.
