Direct Tax - Senior Specialist

About the role

Quest Global is seeking a Senior Specialist in Direct Tax to support its finance team. The role involves managing income tax and transfer pricing matters, ensuring compliance, and assisting with tax litigation and refunds. You will work closely with managers to deliver accurate tax filings and advisory support.

Key responsibilities

• Collate data related to notices for income tax and transfer pricing assessments and prepare submissions.
• Prepare income tax returns and required forms.
• Handle TDS, advance tax, and tax provision calculations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Respond to withholding tax queries from internal teams.
• Assist managers with past income tax litigations and pending refunds.
• Gather information to obtain nil or lower tax deduction certificates.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the Income Tax Act and withholding tax regulations, including Section 195.
• Experience in handling tax compliance, TDS, and advance tax calculations.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and respond to tax‑related queries.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and data‑collation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in income tax return preparation and related statutory filings.
• Experience with TDS processing and advance tax computation.
• Understanding of transfer pricing documentation requirements.
