Finance Controller (CA) – Startup

About the role

We are a fast‑growing startup seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to lead our finance function. You will own the month‑end close, drive consolidation across entities, and ensure full compliance with Indian tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly financials and consolidation across entities under IndAS.
• Drive month‑end closure with accurate, well‑reconciled books.
• Lead all statutory, internal and tax audits, coordinating with auditors and CA firms.
• Support leadership and board reporting with timely, accurate data.
• Strengthen internal controls and build robust finance processes.
• Manage banking relationships and day‑to‑day coordination.
• Own tax compliance for all entities and geographies, handling direct and indirect tax filings.
• Coordinate with tax consultants, review submissions, and manage tax audits.
• Track tax matters, provide clear recommendations, and ensure timely compliance.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 4 years of experience.
• Experience in a Big 4 firm or close work with Big 4 auditors/consultants is preferred.
• Strong understanding of IndAS and financial consolidation.
• Proven track record handling audits end‑to‑end.
• Good grasp of Indian tax regulations.
