UAV Operator – Prototype Flight Operations (Bangalore)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled UAV Operator to conduct flight operations of prototype small UAVs, both fixed‑wing and VTOL, for military and civilian customers. You will support demonstration flights, contribute to UAV design adaptations, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct flight operations of prototype UAVs (fixed‑wing and VTOL) and support demonstration flights.
• Plan missions, including payload operations, and execute launch, recovery, and in‑flight control with an external pilot.
• Operate various sensor systems as required by mission objectives.
• Prepare test plans, checklists, and SOPs; assist in UAV maintenance, troubleshooting, and lab testing.
• Coordinate with the flight operations team for test planning and execution.
• Manage spares, components, and inventory for the Unmanned Aerial System.
• Document maintenance, testing, and flight operations; participate in briefings and post‑flight debriefs.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience operating UAVs, including both fixed‑wing and VTOL platforms.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme climatic conditions and lift up to 20 kg unassisted.
• Willingness to travel frequently to field locations.
• Strong attention to detail and good written and oral communication skills.
