Turner (Machinist) – CNC & Conventional Lathes

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Turner to operate both conventional and CNC turning machines for the production of cylinder head castings and related components. The position is based on‑site in Kolhapur and requires adherence to strict quality standards and shift‑based schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and run conventional and CNC lathes according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings, process sheets and select appropriate cutting tools.
• Measure workpieces using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges and dial indicators to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Perform precision turning operations to meet required tolerances.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and monitor tool wear.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to achieve output and quality targets.
• Document work performed and report any issues with machinery or materials.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for machining processes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of turning operations and machining processes for castings.
• Familiarity with both conventional and CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and process sheets with high accuracy.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kolhapur and adapt to shift‑based operations.
