Transmission Line Technician (TL) – Nanded

About the role

The Transmission Line (TL) Technician will work on‑site in Nanded supporting the operation and maintenance of high‑voltage transmission lines for Mahatransco. The role involves routine inspections, fault identification, and assisting with installation, repair, and replacement of line components while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols and visual inspections of transmission lines, towers, conductors, insulators and hardware.
• Assist in installation, repair, and replacement of line components following technical procedures.
• Conduct basic testing and record field data, preparing simple reports on work performed and identified issues.
• Support outage management activities and coordinate with supervisors and control‑room staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, use of personal protective equipment, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Electronics or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Understanding of electrical power systems and transmission line components.
• Knowledge of safety standards and safe work practices for heights and energized equipment.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and follow standard operating procedures.
• Physical fitness to work outdoors in varied weather and travel along line routes; willingness to undertake shift or emergency duty.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
