Trade Sales Manager – South Region

About the role

Springer Nature is seeking a Trade Sales Manager for the South region to lead print book and B2C sales through distribution accounts, library suppliers and booksellers. The role focuses on strategic growth, efficiency initiatives, and managing e‑book responsibilities where budgets allow.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales budget targets for the assigned region.
• Develop and implement a regional sales strategy in collaboration with the Sales Director.
• Manage existing accounts and identify new business opportunities for print and e‑books.
• Identify and onboard new channel partners for specialised business areas.
• Provide tailored sales and marketing information, quotations, and annual business plans to key trade partners.
• Support accounts to generate business from trade and institutional customers.
• Visit institutions and libraries, attend trade shows, and engage with publishing conferences as required.
• Create and maintain a database of librarians and department heads across the region.
• Pitch e‑book models to Tier‑2/3 institutions where budget permits.
• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, promotions, and market conditions.
