Technical Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead end‑to‑end semiconductor equipment development programs. The role is based in Bangalore, India and offers the chance to work on cutting‑edge technology that underpins AI and next‑generation chips.

Key responsibilities

• Own full program execution across scope, schedule, cost, quality, performance and customer commitments throughout the Product Development Process lifecycle.
• Lead planning activities including scope definition, work breakdown structures, integrated master schedules, resource planning, budgeting, risk assessment and governance.
• Coordinate cross‑functional engineering, operations, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and business stakeholders to meet project objectives.
• Monitor program performance against schedule, cost, scope, quality and technical milestones, providing regular status updates to leadership.
• Identify risks, issues and dependencies, lead mitigation planning and drive timely resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial or related).
• Proven experience managing complex product development programs in semiconductor equipment or high‑technology industries.
• Strong understanding of New Product Development (NPD) and Product Development Process (PDP) methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Required skills

• Project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or Jira.
• Project management certifications (PMP, PgMP, Agile) preferred.
• Analytical, problem‑solving, communication and executive presentation skills.
