Technical Lead / Senior Developer - Java Cloud Applications

About the role

Deutsche Bank is renewing its digital channels and moving to Agile software development to improve agility and speed to market. As a technical lead or senior developer, you will bring Java design and development skills, focus on cloud applications and infrastructure, and help customers migrate and modernize application infrastructure. You will guide how applications are secured and deployed reliably to production and apply continuous integration practices.

Key responsibilities

• Drive cloud implementation and modernization of applications, and write quality code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems.
• Take part in squad activities such as daily stand-ups and scrum meetings, and lead Dev chapter activities.
• Apply CI best practices (SCM, build automation, unit testing, dependency management).
• Manage task priorities and deliverables, and report progress in JIRA/Confluence.
• Support the Product Owner, analyst and Scrum Master, and collaborate with squad members to meet sprint objectives.
• Contribute to planning, continuous improvement and functional and technical design of applications.

Required profile

• 13-15 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, with experience in software or system engineering or a lead position.
• Strong solution architecture experience in complex environments and strong learning capability.
• Ability to work with global and local teams in an agile environment.

Required skills

• Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch and microservices architecture.
• Docker and Kubernetes (GKE); Infrastructure as Code with Terraform for GCP.
• CI/CD, preferably Jenkins with scripting; SQL/NoSQL and cloud delivery models.
• Web servers (Apache), REST web services, JMS/MQ messaging, Tomcat/WildFly, and end-to-end testing and debugging.
• Good to have: Angular and ReactJS, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, caching (Hazelcast, Memcached, Redis), Documentum, FileNet, SharePoint, and AI tool use.
