Application Owner, Associate (ITAO) - Banking IT

About the role

The Application Owner (AO) is accountable for the application management of a single application or a portfolio of applications within the bank's IT organization. The AO ensures applications are kept secure, compliant and fit for purpose, and escalates risks and issues appropriately. The role is based in Pune, India.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the application instance and provide detailed administrative information in self-assessments against IT policies and standards
• Facilitate disaster recovery by reviewing DR plans and coordinating DR exercises
• Manage internal and external application audits and remediation of audit issues
• Remediate gaps in application lifecycle management, such as account recertification and configuration gaps
• Handle application-related risk and compliance evaluations and IT security incidents
• Plan and manage application and database event monitoring, capacity forecasting and user access tasks
• Plan server procurement, activation and decommissioning, and hardware/software/license upgrades or migrations
• Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders and vendors

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate degree from an accredited institution
• Experience in information security controls, governance and compliance, and audit, including IAM
• Proven project management and people management skills
• Fluent English (written and verbal)
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments, virtual teams and matrix organizations

Required skills

• Basic technical capabilities and infrastructure knowledge; networking knowledge is valued
• Software technology tools: OS (UNIX and Windows), Java.NET, databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL) and web concepts
• IT security, risk and compliance basics
• Systems development lifecycle (experienced level)
