Application Owner and Scrum Master, Associate

About the role

The Application Owner (AO) is accountable for the application management of a single application or a portfolio of applications, ensuring they are kept secure, compliant and aligned with the bank's IT strategy and service levels. In addition, the role acts as Scrum Master, enabling effective Agile delivery by facilitating ceremonies, coaching the team and removing impediments. The position is based in Pune, India.

Key responsibilities

• Disaster recovery: review DR plans and coordinate DR exercises for the application
• Audits and remediation: manage internal and external application audits and fix audit issues, gaps in lifecycle management (e.g. account recertification, configuration gaps) and risk and compliance gaps
• Incidents and events: handle IT security incidents, plan and run application and database event monitoring, forecast and monitor capacity, and manage user access
• Infrastructure: server procurement, activation and decommissioning, and hardware/software/license upgrade or migration plans
• Scrum Master: facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and backlog refinement; coach the team and Product Owner on Agile principles; remove impediments and escalate blockers
• Track and communicate sprint progress, risks and delivery metrics to stakeholders, protect the team from interruptions and drive continuous improvement

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate degree from an accredited institution
• Experience in information security controls, governance and compliance, and audit
• Scrum and Agile certification and experience
• Proven project management and people management skills
• Fluent English (written and verbal)

• Java and .NET
• Databases: Oracle, Sybase, SQL
• Basic IT security, risk and compliance knowledge
• Networking knowledge is valued
