System Administrator – L1

About the role

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator – L1 to provide day‑to‑day operational support for our enterprise server infrastructure. You will monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and resolve incidents across both physical and virtual environments while following standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for VMware environments, including ESXi and vCenter administration, VM provisioning, snapshots, and basic troubleshooting.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, handling OS‑level issues, user accounts, services, and health monitoring.
• Execute scheduled OS patching for Windows and RHEL, perform health checks, and validate post‑patch stability.
• Monitor backup jobs, perform basic restore activities, and coordinate with backup OEM support for complex cases.
• Troubleshoot physical server hardware components, monitor alerts, and work with OEM teams for replacements.
• Respond to infrastructure alerts, conduct initial troubleshooting, and escalate to L2/L3 teams as needed.
• Participate in ITIL‑based incident, change, and problem management processes.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of VMware, Windows Server, and RHEL environments.
• Experience with OS patching, backup technologies, and server hardware monitoring.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident and change management practices.
• Ability to follow SOPs, work within defined SLAs, and document actions clearly.
