Senior Python Developer – REST APIs & AWS

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer with strong expertise in REST API development at scale. You will build high‑performance backend services, design scalable architectures, deploy on AWS, and mentor junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Flask/FastAPI.
• Design and optimise database models using ORMs such as SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
• Work extensively with PostgreSQL.
• Implement distributed/background tasks using Celery and RabbitMQ.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS (ECS/Fargate, EC2, RDS, Lambda, Glue).
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and troubleshoot production issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend development with Python.
• Proven experience in REST API development at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Flask (mandatory); Django/FastAPI a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL and ORM frameworks.
• Experience with Redis, Celery, and RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency with AWS services and Docker.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git workflows, and testing.
• Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills.
