Structures Engineering Internship

About the role

Join Airbus India’s Structures department in Bangalore for a 6‑month internship starting January 2027. You will work on assessing aircraft structural integrity and supporting certification activities while gaining hands‑on experience with advanced simulation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform static and dynamic structural analysis, including stress, fatigue, CFD, and thermal studies.
• Identify design issues, propose modifications, and support certification test de‑risking.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for in‑service issues and use simulations to optimise manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Develop and automate simulation workflows, exploring AI/ML techniques to enhance credibility and reduce timelines.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Strong foundation in mechanics of materials, stress and fatigue analysis.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a transnational engineering environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Structural analysis and mechanics of materials.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and simulation techniques.
• Basic programming/scripting knowledge (e.g., Python) and familiarity with AI/ML concepts.
• Understanding of CFD and thermal analysis methods.
