About the role

Dosa District is a pure‑vegetarian South Indian restaurant in Bengaluru seeking a skilled South Indian Chef to plan, prepare, and present authentic regional dishes in a modern, welcoming setting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and present authentic South Indian vegetarian dishes, including rice preparations, curries, and accompaniments.
• Manage mise en place, monitor kitchen inventory, and ensure food quality and taste consistency.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
• Coordinate service during peak hours, optimise cooking processes, and minimise food waste.
• Provide menu input, standardise recipes, and train junior staff on techniques and hygiene practices.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience in South Indian vegetarian cuisine, including tiffin items.
• Knowledge of ingredient selection, spice blends, and regional cooking techniques from different parts of South India.
• Ability to maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards during high‑volume service.
• Understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety guidelines, and efficient workstation organisation.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with a diverse team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
