About the role
The Cashier will be the front‑line of the billing process at Toscano, an Italian restaurant in Bengaluru. This full‑time, on‑site position involves handling customer payments, issuing receipts and supporting the front‑of‑house team.
Key responsibilities
- Process dine‑in and takeaway orders, manage the cash register and reconcile cash and card transactions.
- Maintain accurate daily sales records, issue receipts and keep the billing area clean and presentable.
- Greet guests, answer basic menu or pricing questions and coordinate with serving staff and the kitchen.
- Assist with billing‑related customer concerns and support basic administrative tasks.
Required profile
- Strong numerical accuracy and cash‑handling skills.
- Clear communication and courteous customer service.
- Basic computer literacy, data‑entry ability and familiarity with POS systems.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy hours, stand for extended periods and adapt to flexible shifts.
- Prior experience as a cashier or in front‑of‑house operations is preferred.
