South Indian Chef (Full-time, Kochi)

About the role

Chakola’s Hospitality is seeking a full‑time South Indian Chef to join its on‑site kitchen team in Kochi. The chef will create authentic and contemporary South Indian dishes for the company’s hospitality outlets, ensuring each plate reflects the brand’s focus on guest well‑being and memorable experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute South Indian menus, balancing traditional recipes with modern interpretations.
• Oversee daily food preparation, maintaining consistent quality, taste, and presentation.
• Ensure kitchen hygiene and safety standards are met at all times.
• Monitor inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and control food costs while minimizing waste.
• Train, mentor, and guide junior kitchen staff to uphold high culinary standards.
• Collaborate with management on seasonal and special menus and support efficient service during peak periods.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in South Indian cuisine, including regional specialties.
• Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or in a similar role within hotels, resorts, or upscale restaurants.
• Formal culinary training or certification preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
• Basic communication skills in English and local languages.
