Software Technologist I - Test

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Embedded Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic test engineering team. In this role you will design, implement and execute test plans to ensure software quality, function and performance meet required standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain product‑based test automation frameworks for functional, integration, system, regression and end‑to‑end testing.
• Develop, review and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, procedures and automated scripts based on requirements and design specifications.
• Execute and support embedded software, system, integration, functional, regression and verification testing throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers, system engineers and cross‑functional teams in a Scrum/Agile environment to ensure high‑quality releases.
• Analyse test results, track defects, provide status reports and drive continuous quality improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent.
• 4‑7 years of experience in embedded software testing, preferably in the healthcare/medical device domain.
• Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, ISO 13485 or similar).
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) with hands‑on involvement across requirements, design reviews, test planning, execution, defect management and release activities.

Required skills

• Test automation using C# or Python scripting and automation framework development.
• Hands‑on experience with BDD (Behavior‑Driven Development) and/or TDD (Test‑Driven Development) methodologies.
• Mocking frameworks and test simulation technologies for embedded systems.
• Automation architecture, object‑oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Proficiency with HP ALM, Azure DevOps, Jira or similar test management and defect tracking tools.
