Software Technical Analyst

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Software Technical Analyst in Pune, India, within its Group Economic Crime COO business area. The role leads the evolution of infrastructure and deployment pipelines, building and managing robust, scalable and secure infrastructure so that digital solutions are delivered smoothly. The position is permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve software using engineering methodologies that provide business, platform and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues.
• Develop and deliver high-quality software using industry-aligned languages, frameworks and tools, keeping code scalable, maintainable and performance-optimized.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers on requirements, solution strategies and integration.
• Take part in code reviews, share knowledge and stay up to date with technology trends.
• Follow secure coding practices and implement unit testing.

Required profile

• Experience with Camunda BPMN tool version 8.9 or higher.
• Strong core Java with working knowledge of Java 17 / 21.
• Microservices with Spring Boot.
• Strong database skills (MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to act as a contact point for stakeholders and to escalate breaches of policy appropriately.
