Backend Engineer (.NET) - AI Travel Platform

About the role

Musafir, a travel platform focused on technology-driven travel experiences, is hiring a Backend Engineer (.NET) in Pune. The role builds end-to-end AI-powered travel features using C#.NET 10, React/TypeScript, LLMs, RAG and agent capabilities. ClanX acts as the recruitment partner. The position is on-site in Pune.

Key responsibilities

• Own product features end-to-end, from design and development to production.
• Build LLM-powered features with C#.NET 10 and ASP.NET Core.
• Develop RAG, chat, function-calling and agent capabilities.
• Build RAG pipelines using Azure AI Search, PGVector or Qdrant.
• Integrate Azure OpenAI, OpenAI and other model APIs.
• Build responsive front-end features with React and TypeScript.
• Design and optimize microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL/MongoDB, caching and background workers.
• Design prompts and optimize AI token usage and costs.
• Implement AI guardrails, evaluation, hallucination mitigation and observability.
• Use OpenTelemetry and ELK for application observability.
• Contribute to Docker, CI/CD and Azure/AWS cloud environments.
• Write clean, testable code and troubleshoot issues across environments.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in C#/.NET development.
• Strong OOP, SOLID, clean code and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and REST APIs.
• Strong debugging, ownership and communication skills.

Salary: 2,200,000 to 2,600,000 INR per year.
