Software Engineer – Web Applications (Python/Django/React)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join Aspire, the IIT Bombay Research Park Foundation. You will design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable web applications that support our innovation ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Python, Django, React.js, and TypeScript.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs with responsive front‑end interfaces.
• Create intuitive, accessible UI components with React.js, Tailwind CSS, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Design, optimize, and tune PostgreSQL databases, including schema design and query performance.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain services on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate builds, tests, and releases.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and improve application performance and reliability.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of professional experience developing web applications.
• Hands‑on experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, Agile teams.
