Software Engineer II – Java Microservices & AWS

About the role

Join the AI & Engineering team as a Software Engineer II, focusing on designing and delivering Java‑based microservices that run on Amazon Web Services. You will work in a collaborative, Agile environment to build scalable backend solutions for mission‑critical client applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java 8+, Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to analyse requirements and support solution design.
• Implement cloud‑native solutions on AWS and manage containerised deployment environments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives and peer reviews.
• Identify opportunities for automation, performance optimisation and defect resolution.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of professional experience in Java, Java EE and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented design, clean coding practices and refactoring.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices patterns and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with Agile development processes and continuous delivery.
