Senior Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

HSBC’s Finance, Sustainability and Group External Communications team is looking for a Senior Vice President to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function in India. The role will provide insightful analysis of business performance, support cost‑control initiatives and partner with senior finance and business leaders to drive strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse key drivers of P&L and Balance Sheet and deliver monthly and periodical performance reports.
• Identify cost‑control opportunities and support the Financial Resource Plan process.
• Provide ad‑hoc and business‑as‑usual analysis to OPCO and senior management.
• Manage the periodic forecasting process to ensure accurate country forecasts at the India level.
• Collaborate with Global Finance Operations Centre, Central Finance and regional FP&A teams for seamless support.
• Drive efficiency through digitalisation of information and act as gatekeeper for CMO and CMS costs.
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards and implement audit and regulator recommendations.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Post‑graduate qualifications such as CA, MBA or CFA preferred.
• Strong analytical ability to translate data into business insights.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled tools is an advantage.
• Successful completion of Anti‑Money Laundering and Sanctions training.
